Oil Seeds

Description

Oil Seeds are generally, seeds grown primarily for the production of edible (i.e. cooking) oils.

Oil Seeds and oil seed meals are included in diets fed to livestock to provide protein and energy. Oil Seeds cottonseed, soybeans, and sunflower seed provide higher energy concentrations from oil in addition to protein. Some of the more commonly used Oil Sseed meals include canola meal, cottonseed meal, peanut meal, soybean meal, and sunflower meal.
